I was invited to give a talk on benefits and scams to a local group of retired NHS staff who meet regularly for help and support at Abergavenny Methodist Church School Rooms.
It was a good opportunity to discuss benefits for those who have retired or were looking to do so, and we made some good contacts. We discussed relative benefits, mainly pension credit and attendance allowance, and gave some good information leaflets to the group. In addition, our talk on scams was seen as entertaining and informative, with everyone keen to support each other in an area which is getting harder to recognise every week. The group was grateful for our support, and we offered to return should they need us in the future.
