MCC Cost of Living Crisis

We were invited to give a presentation at Monmouthshire County Hall in Usk. Led by our CEO, the presentation laid out the challenges and difficulties faced by our clients, and the concerns over the upcoming months. Winter is fast approaching, and there is considerable worry that our clients will not be able to put the heating on, afford food, or survive the winter without increasing debt. Our forecast was picked up by other agencies such as Monmouthshire Housing Association who reported similar findings.

The meeting was attended by members of the council, and many town and community councils throughout Monmouthshire either in person or via zoom. It was a fantastic opportunity to link up with each other for the support of our clients going forward, and to ensure everyone is on the same page. The cost of living crisis is under-reported by the press, it has not gone away, and this was an opportunity to spread that message.
